Logan Facility Celebrates First Graduating Class of New CNA Training Program

Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan is proud to celebrate a major milestone with the graduation of the first class from its new Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program.

The program was created with a clear purpose: to provide members of our community with an accessible pathway into healthcare while developing the next generation of caregivers in Southern West Virginia.

The program allows Trinity to invest directly in the people and communities it serves. "Our healthcare workforce challenges cannot be solved by simply waiting for qualified caregivers to come through the door. We have to be willing to create those opportunities ourselves," said Jordan Gibson, Administrator of Trinity Healthcare Services of Logan. "By investing in CNA training here at home, we are giving people in our community an opportunity to build a career while also helping address the healthcare staffing crisis facing our region. This program is an investment in our residents, our workforce, and the future of healthcare in Southern West Virginia."

Certified Nursing Assistants play an essential role in skilled nursing and long-term care, providing much of the day-to-day assistance, support, and personal interaction that residents depend upon. Preparing new CNAs therefore represents much more than filling positions—it means developing caregivers who can make a lasting difference in the lives of residents and their families.

By developing healthcare professionals locally, Trinity hopes to strengthen its own workforce while creating new career opportunities for people throughout the region. The program reflects the facility’s continued commitment to investing not only in the care provided inside its walls, but also in the community it calls home.
