Healing just got a major upgrade - and it's happening right here in Williamson, WV.
Trinity Healthcare Services of Mingo is proud to be the first in the region to offer AmchoPlast wound grafts. This service allows us to provide in-house advanced wound care for residents with chronic, complex wounds - without the trip to the doctor's office.
A Partnership That Heals
Wound Care Specialty Group will provide our facility with a dedicated nurse practitioner who regularly rounds to treat and manage residents with advanced chronic wounds. Their expertise, combined with our commitment to resident-centered care, delivers exceptional outcomes and greater peace of mind for families.
"Being first isn't just about innovation - it's about responsibility. Our residents deserve access to the very best care available, and that means bringing advanced wound healing directly to them. This is much more than a clinical upgrade - it's a promise to put healing, comfort, and dignity first."
-- Jordan Gibson, Administrator
What is AmchoPlast?
AmchoPlast is a next-generation wound graft made from human amniotic tissue developed by Cellution Biologics - it is naturally rich in growth factors and healing proteins. It helps:
Reduce inflammation and pain
Facilitate healing of chronic wounds
Minimize infection risk
Decrease the need for frequent dressing changes
This level of care is typically found in hospital-based wound clinics. Now, it's available right here at Trinity Healthcare Services of Mingo.
Why It Matters
Residents who previously needed appointment or lengthy trips for specialty wound care can now be treated in the comfort and safety of their room at our facility - ensuring:
Facilitation of faster healing times
Fewer hospital readmissions
Lower infection risks
More consistent follow-up and care
Leading the Region
By being the first in the region to offer AmchoPlast treatments on-site, Trinity Healthcare Services of Mingo is setting a new standard for skilled nursing care in southern West Virginia - with plans underway for our Logan facility to follow soon.
