There's nothing quite like the summer to bring people together - and that's exactly what happened when both our Logan and Mingo communities teamed up for an unforgettable outdoor luau last week!
Held under sunny skies and filled with island-themed joy, the event was a vibrant celebration of community, friendship, and plain old fun. Residents and staff alike embraced the warm weather and festive spirit, trading traditional routines for a taste of the tropics.
Highlights from the Day

🌺 The Resident "Car Wash"
Our creative crew turned our residents into "cars!" Residents got to go through a custom made "car wash" where they were the car. Many residents came through laughing as they got sprayed, spritzed, and "scrubbed."
💦 Water Fight Fun
Let's just say nobody left dry. Staff and residents alike were involved in an all-out splash battle. Laughter echoed across the courtyard as they playfully soaked each other.
🍍 Luau Vibes All Around
From Hawaiian decor to themed refreshments, the Betty Chapman Courtyard was transformed into its own tropical oasis.
Bringing both facilities together gave residents the chance to meet new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, and simply enjoy life. These moments of laughter and togetherness are what we strive for - reminding us all that no matter what, there's always room for a little joy, sunshine, and fun! We would like to thank all the staff members from both our Logan and Mingo Activities Departments for coming together and creating an unforgettable experience.
